KAP Travel Award

The KAP is inviting
applications from young researchers who have submitted an abstract for the KAP
General Session for a travel award to support their attendance. The objective
of this award program is to encourage young talents undertaking research in
periodontology.
ELIGIBILITY:
- Young researchers (up to seven years post-graduation
from periodontal training or pre-PhD) are eligible to apply for the
travel award. Entrants must provide a verification letter of their
educational status.
- Entrants can only receive KAP Travel Award once.
APPLICATIONS:
- Applicants must submit electronically a detailed overview
of their projects (2 pages, double-spaced). The submission form is
attached.
- This overview must include brief details of their
material and methods, the results of the research including details of
statistical analysis, and a brief discussion including how the research
will affect the field of periodontology.
- The overview must be received by no later than July
22, 2017 for the application to be considered.
- Applicants are asked to submit the overview and
verification letter electronically to Pf.
Sung-Tae Kim, Associate Director of
Academic Affairs at kst72@snu.ac.kr with the title of the e-mail KAP Travel Award indicating your submission.
AWARD:
One successful applicant will be awarded in 2017. The winner will receive a round
trip airfare (economy class) to attend the KAP General Session and waiver of the
registration fee.
PROCESS:
All abstracts submitted for the KAP Travel Award are subject to peer review
within the Han Soo-Boo Global Fellowship Committee of the KAP. KAP will notify the winner individually as well as display on
the website (www.kperio.org) by August 5,
2017. In addition, the winner for the Travel Award will be invited to
present his or her research and will be officially awarded at the closing ceremony
of the 57th General Session.
